Good morning! I am coming at you from a coffee shop and am about to drive up to Canada for a client meeting tomorrow.
I thought it would be kind of fun to write a day in the life post. I love reading how other people’s days look and its fun looking back on some of my old posts to see how things have changed.
A Day in the Life: Fall 2016
6:00 am | SL’s alarm goes off and neither of us get up.
6:20 am | SL’s a;arm goes off again and he gets up but I don’t. I stayed up late watching the Patriots game (a loss😞) and I am not ready get up yet.
6:25 am | Grab my phone, check some social media channels and open up my Bloglovin’ app and read a couple blogs.
6:45 am | Get out of bed, make SL breakfast, lunch and coffee and hug and kiss him goodbye.
7:05 am | Shower, get dressed do make-up while listening to the Jillian Michaels podcast.
7:30 am | Make myself a smoothie with Vanilla Perfect Fit protein powder, mango, raspberries, coconut water and almond milk along with eggs (1 whole, 2 additional whites) and coffee.
I am still loving this Vanilla Macadamia Nut coffee.
7:50 am | Leave for work
8:18 | Arrive at work and get to work!
8:30 – 12:30 | Client work. Due to the above mentioned work trip to Canada, I had to bang out a bunch of work in the morning. Luckily, the morning went by fast.
12:30 pm | I’m starving and I dig into lunch. Lunch was Pioneer Woman’s Cashew Chicken that I prepped on Sunday lunch lunches throughout the week. I also had a spinach salad (a bowl of spinach with balsamic and evoo on it) and a slice of Olive Oil Crock Pot bread.
1:00 – 5:30 pm | Back to work. Lots of prep for meetings in Canada.
6:00 pm | Meet Scott at our attorney’s office to sign papers for our refinance closing. I am so happy we decided to refinance. We knocked 3 years off of our mortgage and are still paying the same monthly. Boom.
7:20 pm | I had planned to make baked chicken (recipe coming next week) but SL mentioned Mexican and I was, of course, all in.
Tacos el Pastor and a side of chips and club soda. I was dying for a margarita but one usually leads to two and it was only Monday I opted for water.
8:35 pm | Arrive home, change into comfies and settle in on the couch to watch an episode of Lisa Ling’s CNN show, This is Life.
9:30 pm | Time for bed. I hit the hay early on Monday’s because I take a 5:30 am yoga class on Tuesday mornings.
I watched an episode of Gilmore Girls then fell asleep.
This was not my most interesting day rather it was entirely average. Other than the refinancing closing and impromptu dinner out, this could have been any given week day.
Noticeably missing – a workout. I take Mondays off most weeks. It make me feel more like I am gliding into the week rather than attacking it at full force.
