Hello hello and happy first full week of the last month of the year. Wow – that was a mouthful.
I am excited because we are getting our new couch delivered this week, celebrating my grandmother’s birthday and taking a quick trip to Maine.
This weekend was a good one that flew by (yet again!). First of all, I want to congratulate SL for finishing his third to last Master’s program class! Only two more left!
SL had to be up and out of the house by 6:00 am so we were up before the sun. After he was off I lounged around for a bit then headed to a charity cycle class at my studio. The theme was 90s so I wore my brightest neon shirt and cycled away to a great soundtrack.
After the ride, I went to the grocery store and got my shopping done. I love having a workout and chores done before 9:00am! I had some work to do (aka clients to visit) for a bit on Saturday afternoon so that took up a huge chunk of day.
After getting done with work, I headed to get a massage. She ended up concentrating on my hamstrings, glutes and left shoulder because I was super tight in those areas. I felt like a million bucks afterward.
When I got home, SL was home from class and we ordered takeout and watched The People vs. O.J. Simpson for the rest of the night.
My main goal for Sunday was to get a Christmas tree and cook ribs. I had never cooked ribs before this and SL has asked me to make them more than 1,500 times.
We both slept in on Sunday then decided to head out for breakfast before picking up our tree. I went balls to the wall and got a breakfast sandwich.
And a candy cane coffee. ‘Tis the season!
We tried a new-to-us tree farm a couple towns over and were pleasantly surprised with the number a huge trees they had. We always buy a 10′ tree because we have vaulted ceilings and we can.
SL wanted to look at every single tree on the lot but I picked this one early on. Guess which tree we ended up getting…
We got the tree up in the house but haven’t decorated yet. The rest of Sunday was spent watching the Patriots, making ribs…
…and roasting pumpkin seeds.
My weekend wasn’t all that interesting or splashy but it was a good one and I’m (obviously) sad that it is over.
I like to share my weekly workouts and menus on Mondays because it makes me feel like I have my shit together. So here you go…
Weekly Workouts (last week)
I finally feel like I am back to my regular self. I had a rough workout streak (rather a lack of workout streak) for a bit there but now I am feeling back to normal.
Monday: Orangetheory 🍊💦 The workout is here. This was my first class back in a couple month and I feel like I crushed it!
Tuesday: 30-minute cycle
Thursday: Pilates + 40-minute walk
Friday: 30-minute walk
Saturday: 30-minute charity cycle. The theme was 90s so the music was amazing.
Sunday: 30-minute walk and hefting a 10′ Christmas tree
This Week’s Menu
We got a Butcher Box (<– use this link to get $10 off and FREE bacon!) delivery late last week and for the first time, I customized my box so I knew exactly what I was going to get.
Monday (tonight!): Taco bowls! Mine will have taco meat over greens with all of my favorite fixings. SL’s will look more like nachos…
Tuesday: Korean Beef Tacos. We had these a couple weeks ago and we both loved them! These babies will be served with lots of greens.
Wednesday: Baked chicken thighs + roasted green beans
Thursday: Dinner out with the family celebrating my grandmother’s 80th birthday!
Saturday – Sunday: I’ll figure it out then…
