I am a huge blog slacker these days. Ugh. I miss it but to be honest, my life just hasn’t been super interesting so there isn’t much to write about. I did however have a success November when it comes to goals. I (mostly) crushed them! Yay!
Lets recap. My November goals were as follows:
- Take 10 classes at Studio 5
- Put CPT certification to work
- Clean my car and get it inspected
- Cross one thing off my 100 Life Goals
I slaughtered the first goal by taking 22 classes during the month of November! I have been in a studio class mood lately so I went with it and took class upon class upon class and loved it. I bought a month of unlimited classes for $99 that spanned from October 29 – November 29 and in that time frame I took 23 classes bring the cost per class down to $4.30.
Pretty happy about this one.
Not so happy about the CPT. No one wants to hire me because I have no experience. I am, however, still actively looking and in touch with leads so this wasn’t a total fail.
My car has been cleaned and inspected. Thank you SL for helping me out 😉
The one thing I checked off of my 100 Life Goals is probably the least sexy thing on that list. I met with two financial dudes to discuss my 401k situation and fully understand it. I have been contributing to my retirement for years and years but never took the time to wrap my head around it until now. I am glad I did because now I know what to do with all of my extra pennies each month!
With November gone and December damn near half way gone, lets discuss some December goals!
1. Begin Half Marathon Training
I did it again! I am registered for a half marathon in April!
Eeek!! I have had the itch to train for and run 13.1 again and so I signed up for one near my home in 16 weeks.
I will be putting together my own training plan based on the one I used for my first half marathon but slightly different because I want to incorporate studio classes as part of my cross-training. I will share my plan with a pretty graphic soon but here is what I am aiming for.
- Monday – Run
- Tuesday – Cycle
- Wednesday – Run & Yoga
- Thursday – Cycle and/or Strength/Pilates
- Friday – REST!
- Saturday – Long Run
- Sunday – Easy Cycle & Strength
2. Blog 3 days a week
I used to blog everyday and now I am lucky if I get 2 a month. What gives? I just need to write and put it out there. Mostly for myself and the 2 of you reading this right now.
3. Cross one thing off of my 100 Life Goals.
This will probably be one I work on every month. If you are not consistently working to fulfill your goals then they will never get accomplished. This month will be over before we know it so I need to get on this quickly.
