100! That’s crazy! I feel like this post should knock your socks off but alas, it’s just your every (Fri)day post.
So, what’s up for the weekend? We have taxes and date night tonight (more on that below), a 5/10k and maybe a Sunday Funday involving all of the new snow we got this week.
I hope you enjoy today’s 100th Friday Favorites here on AEH!

Pretty sure she is talking about running here but it’s true for life in general. At least for my life right now.
TSC Master List (Podcast and Post)
Are you a Skinny Confidential reader? I am. Lauryn and I could not be more different but he recommendations are always on point. Recently, she did a podcast and blog post on all of her ride or die products. I already use many things on this like GG crackers, Rao’s sauce, ice roller, chlorophyll, etc., etc., etc.
Some things I want to buy/try next are an oil diffuser, a time block and a coffee warmer.
We Were Liars
I finished another book this week and I wasn’t totally sure I was going to love it until the end. I didn’t take a photo, oops, but here is what Amazon has to say about the book:
A beautiful and distinguished family.
A private island.
A brilliant, damaged girl; a passionate, political boy.
A group of four friends—the Liars—whose friendship turns destructive.
A revolution. An accident. A secret.
Lies upon lies.
The book is based on a fictional island off the coast of Massachusetts so, of course, that drew me in as well.
Next up: In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware. This will be my third book by Ruth and so far, no disappointments.
I am not sure if this is a favorite yet but SL and I are getting our taxes done tonight. I always feel like a million bucks after they are done so that in itself is a favorite.
Taxes have never been super easy for me as I’ve always had multiple jobs, bank accounts, students loans and such. But we have a great tax lady and she has gotten me through my IRS troubles.
So yeah, taxes are not fun but I know that once they are done, I’ll be happy. And we are going out for a date night after, so that’s definitely a favorite!
Snow Day Cookies
On Tuesday’s snow day I was in the mood to make cookies. I’ve been trying to stay away from dairy as much as possible so I consulted Pinterest for olive oil based cookies.
I blended together a few recipes and came up with this:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 1/2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2/3 cup packed dark brown sugar
2 teaspoons maple syrup
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Bake at 350° for 8-10 minutes. Makes 12 delicious cookies.
Someday I’ll learn how to properly space out the dough so my cookies don’t come out square.
I hope you all have a great weekend!
