Hi friends, its Friday!! What a week. I am glad its over. LIke every weekend, I am looking forward to it.
Tonight we are celebrating a friend’s birthday with dinner and games but the rest of the weekend is free and clear. Hopefully, I can go visit my puppy brother!

Blood Oranges
Citrus this time of year is always delicious but I’ve been gravitating towards blood oranges lately and been loving not only their flavor but their fun color as well.
My grocery store has had Moro oranges available for a couple weeks now and each week I’ve been buying a few.

Mint
When I was poor AF, I started using Mint so I could see where my 6 pennies were going each week.
Desert Essence Toothpaste
This toothpaste has tea tree oil, fennel, and mint. It’s gluten-free, fluoride-free and has no harsh abrasives.
I thought this toothpaste would be chalky and bad tasting but I was pleasantly surprised. Its super minty, which I love, and has a good consistency that doesn’t make me gag.
Run Eat Repeat Podcast
I’ve been a fan? Follower? Friend??? of Monica and Run Eat Repeat for years. When she started a podcast I immediately subscribed before listening to a single episode.
This week’s episode was part of a series on fueling for half and full marathons. I’ve been terrible at this in the two halves that I have run and am willing to soak up any tips like a sponge.
Monica said something along the line of, “Our body doesn’t tell you when to eat, it tells you when you are too late.”
Boom. So very correct. During long runs (anything over 7 for me) I take Clif Shot Bloks but I’m never sure when to take them and by the time I do, I am too late. Moving forward, I am going to use the tips Monica suggests – intake at mile 5 and mile 10.
