So it has been a minute (or a month) since I last checked in. Between work and life things, I’ve been totally burnt out and with the burn out came writer’s block and lack of motivation to do much of anything.
Over the past month, there has been a lot of reading, TV watching and eating. And before you ask, no I am not depressed just needed to dial my life way back for a little while.
Today’s Friday Favorites is a little different and I’m going to share some of the books I’ve read, shows I watched and new foods and such that I’ve tried over the last month or so.
📚 Kintsugi Wellness – Candice Kumai
📚 It’s Okay to Laugh: (Crying Is Cool Too) – Nora McInerny Purmort
📚 Good As Gone – Amy Gentry
📚 I Am Watching You – Teresa Driscoll
📚 The Wife Between Us – Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen
📺 Safe – Netflix (similar to The Five)
📺 Schitt’s Creek – Netflix
📺 Splitting Up Together – ABC
🍴 Vegan Rob’s snacks – Thrive Market
🍴 Cauliflower Gnocchi – Trader Joe’s
🍴 Buenos Aires Beef Empanadas – Blue Apron
🍴 Califia Farms Mocha Cold Brew – local grocery store
And last but not least, and yes, this deserves its own category…
Winc Wine Club
I can’t believe I haven’t talked about Winc Wine Club (<– save $20 on your first order) yet! I signed up for Winc after hearing about them on the Wine & Crime podcast. I’ve received two shipments so far and they have introduced me to two of my new favorite wines.
My latest shipment has 6 bottles:
- 2016 Summer Water® Rosé x2 (I got this in my last order and LOVED it so added 2 bottles to my latest order)
- 2017 Alma Libre Pinot Noir
- 2016 Ville Basse Merlot
- 2015 L’Atelier du Sud Red Blend
- 2016 Diviner Sauvignon Blanc
The rosé will be gone ASAP and if we get some warm weather soon, the Sauvignon Blanc will be gone shortly after.
So that pretty much covers what I’ve been up to lately – reading, TV, food and wine.
I hope you have a great weekend and hopefully I will be back on a more regular schedule as I get out of my recent funk.
