Hello hello! Coming at you this morning from Austin! SL and I are here for the weekend visiting friends and exploring. We don’t have much of an agenda (which is weird for me) so we are just going to see where the weekend takes us.
But before I go today, here are some of the things I’ve been loving this week.
Friday Favorites #104
Billabong Women’s Heritage Mashup Hat
I finally found the PERFECT summer hat. I have worn a few different hats throughout the years but nothing has been quite right. I have a small-ish noggin so hats are usually too big. This hat has an adjustable back.
Also, I wear hats to the beach so I need a trucker hat that lets my head breath.
Trader Joe’s Steamed Chicken Soup Dumplings
So these were breakfast one day this week and then lunch #2 on a different day. If you aren’t like me and don’t like to eat Asian food for breakfast or maybe you aren’t into eating two lunches, then try these for dinner. They are delish.
So I am super late to the Younger train which is a good thing because it means that I know have 5 seasons to binge. I signed up for Hulu this week to watch Handmaiden’s Tale but then was too freaked out to start it while Scott was away so I opted for something lighter – Younger.
If you are a Gilmore Girls fan like me, then I would highly recommend Younger. Sutton Foster is #goals and Hilary Duff has come a long way from the Lizzie McGuire days. Also, there’s Nico Tortorella and Peter Hermann – enough said.
Go watch Younger.
Kintsugi Wellness by Candice Kumai
Have you ever started reading a book and instantly been like, “Did the author write this book for me and me alone?” That was me after chapter 1 of this book.
I’ve had a girl crush on Candice for a long time and was really excited to dig into Kintsugi Wellness.
Where we come from is who we are. And Candice Kumai’s Japanese heritage has guided her journey back to health at every turn. Now, in Kintsugi Wellness, Candice shares what she’s learned and guides us through her favorite Japanese traditions and practices for cultivating inner strength and living a gracious life, interwoven with dozens of recipes for healthy, Japanese-inspired cuisine.
That’s all for today. Now I’m off to explore Austin! Have a great weekend!
