Hello hello and happy Friday. This is coming a little later than I usually post but my day has been jam-packed today with appointments and conference calls and a fun friend visit.
My day started with an OTF class which I really liked and then a trip to Trader Joe’s. My Trader Joe’s has been out of the cauliflower gnocchi for ages (like months) but I stopped by after class just to check and low and behold – they were stocked up! I bought 8 bags and couldn’t have been happier.
I consider this an excellent start to the day!
I was supposed to go on a ski trip this weekend but I have an appointment today that can’t be changed and the group plans to go to breweries all day tomorrow and not ski so I am opting out of driving 3.5 hours to ski by myself.
So now I have a wide-open weekend to spend doing as I please. Anyways, now onto my Friday Favorites.
Friday Favorites #116
Apple Air Pods
I’ve been wanting these headphones for ages and I finally got them for Christmas and am loving them.
The other day I realized I had had them in my ears for three hours and they were still snug and comfortable. The cord on my other ones drove me absolutely nuts and I am glad to be rid of it.
I am actually wearing them this moment listening to a podcast.
An Anonymous Girl
Greer and Sarah hit it out of the park again with their newest book. I actually purchased this book which I almost never do.
This was a result of a trip to the new Amazon store near me. Along with this book, I bought The Last Time I Lied by Riley Sager and Little Broken Things by Nicole Baart.
I loved Riley Sager’s first book so I am looking forward to The Last Time I Lied. This will be my first Nicole Baart book but I think she will align with the rest of the authors I like.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel – Season 2
Yes, season 2 has been out for a little bit now but it took me this long to carve out undivided time to watch. It’s not a show I watch with SL and I don’t watch a ton of TV when I am working so that leaves little at-home-alone-time for me to binge.
SL left on a ski trip on Thursday afternoon so on Thursday night I made curry (SL is not a huge fan) and my binge began.
Verdict: I still love this show and I still think Joel Maisel is a worm.
I met a friend for lunch (hi Laura!) this week at a new acai bowl place and I loved it! I opted for the Green Bowl and tried to tell myself that it was just like ordering a salad. Ha!
The Green Bowl was made with a spinach and kale puree and topped with an assortment of mango, strawberries, blueberries, coconut and a drizzle of honey. I added some almond butter to help keep me full.
I give SoBol a 10/10 and I will absolutely be going back.
That’s all for my Friday Favorites. I hope you have a great weekend!
