Hello and welcome to Friday Favorites #46. I decided to change up how I label these posts so that if I miss a Friday, it’s NBD. And because who cares about dates anyways?!
I couldn’t be happier that it’s Friday and that the weekend is on the horizon. I have some fun plans including a 5k with SL and friends and a concert with a few of my favorite former co-workers.
In true Friday fashion (I’ve been on a roll lately) this post is all about Friday Favorites #46. These are things that have made me happy this week.
Friday Favorites #46
Tart Cherry Juice + Polar Seltzer Mocktail
No, I am not pregnant but I do on occasion enjoy a mocktail over the real thing. Tart cherry juice has been trendy lately so like the basic bitch that I am, I bought it. Although I love the sour flavor on its own, it’s even better mixed with seltzer.
I am all about Polar Seltzer and always have numerous flavors in the house so it was easy to whip up this two ingredient beverage.
I used 1 part Tart Cherry Juice and 3 parts seltzer water.
Bye Felicia Mug
I found this gem to Etsy (of course) and ordered it immediately. Bye Felicia is not only a phrase, its been my whole mood of late. Unsure of what Bye Felicia means? Watch Friday, the 1995 classic with Ice Cube. If you don’t have 97 minutes to waste, here is my explanation:
When a person says they are leaving (the room, a situation, a job) and you don’t give a single fuck that they are going. That person becomes Felicia – a random person that no one is sad to see go.
Feeling the Burn
I don’t love barre class. It hurts. Every single one of the 60 minutes I’m in class I wonder why I keep torturing myself with this class. Then, after the class is over, I feel like a million bucks. I’m always happy AFTER class and glad that I made myself go.
I also took Pilates a mere 12 hours after barre. Mistake. Sorry legs.
I made my first bone broth from a whole chicken and it came out amazing. I am not sure that I could mess it up if I tried. I can however mess up the picture – this one is horrendous #skillz.
Now I don’t know how scientific the “facts” on the internet are about bone broth benefits but I will share them anyway because I like to think I’m doing something good for my body by drinking this delicious liquid.
Some of the benefits I found on the internet:
- Supports digestion and nutrient absorption
- Bolsters immune system
- Strengthens bones, joint, tendons and ligaments
- Promotes healthy skin, teeth, nails and hair
- Balances blood sugar
There you have it. All.of.the.things that made my smile this week. I hope you have a great weekend and I will be back on Monday with a weekend recap and then back on Tuesday with my 5k race recap. Wish me luck!
