After a whirlwind trip to Washington DC and back yesterday, I am once again, very happy that it is Friday. Unfortunately, I was in a conference room for the entirety of my very short trip to DC but I did manage to see the Capitol building on my cab ride back to the airport. Something is better than nothing, right?
This weekend is starting to fill up with fun activities. Tonight I am seeing my best friend’s bother’s band play and tomorrow I hope squeeze in a little beach time before going to (yet another) shower. Then Sunday I will go see my dad and hang with him and my mom for a bit.
Before I get too far ahead of myself, here are my Friday Favorites for this week!
Friday Favorites #55
Our yard is full of plants and bushes and trees and everything in between. On Sunday, SL picked some blooms and put them in a vase to surprise me. Isn’t he the best?! ☺
Watermelon is one of my all time favorite fruits. Add it to the list, along with pizza, of things I can eat a whole one and still be ready for more. I bought my first watermelon of the season this week and ate all of it (SL helped) before taking any pictures…oops!
Also, the strawberries right now are amazing! I’ve been buying 2 pounds at a time and they have only been lasting for about 2 days.

Confession: I started reading this book over the winter and am still only about halfway through. The beginning was really slow (IMO) so I would put it down and not pick it back up for weeks. This week, I decided to pick up where I left off, a little less than halfway through, and it has gotten so much better!
I am looking forward to finishing and diving into more books this summer.
