Guess what day it is?? IT’S FRIDAY!! Who’s as excited as I am? This was has been a long one and I’m looking forward to the weekend.
Now, on to the regularly scheduled programming…my Friday Favorites!
New Sparkly Soul headband
I bought this baby at Barry’s Bootcamp (another fave) after class one day because my hair was unruly and I didn’t want to go back to work looking like a hot mess. Yes, this picture is me at work, trying not to look like a hot mess. Turns out, its amazing. The thing stays put, fits well, doesn’t hurt and looks super cute. I checked out their website and found a few other’s I think I need. Hint hint SL – my birthday is right around the corner!
Yes, this made the list again. So now I’ve been three times and am considering picking up a second job so I can justify paying $28 a class to continue going. Barry’s doesn’t exactly fit into my tight budget but I’m addicted (in a healthy way). So far I have sweated my way through the Butt & Legs (Tuesday), Hard CORE Abs (Thursday), and Chest, Back & Abs (Wednesday) classes. Still on the agenda – Arms & Abs (Monday) and Full Body (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). Each class has left me sore in the best possible way! Love it!
Cookies & Cream Quest Bar
After the Great Adventure Challenge (Check out my recaps here: Kayak, Bike, Run) I needed to replenish myself and luckily I had this bar on hand. I am not sure if it was because I was so exhausted and starving or what but this was easily the most delicious protein bar I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to try some of the other flavors.
I tried Nuun for the first time the night before the GAC. What’s the golden rule – never try anything new on race day? Well, technically I didnt, I tried it the night before and I loved it. Nuun was a total impulse buy but I’m so happy I did. I went with the Strawberry Lemonade from the Active collection and Cherry Limeade from the Energy collection (with caffein and B vitamin…yes please!) and really enjoyed both of them.
At Home Weekend
One of my favorite parts of summer (and life in general) is spending time with my family up in Maine. I was lucky enough this summer to spend 3 weekends up there in between wedding obligation weekends. This weekend SL and I are staying home (due to wedding obligations at home) and I am looking forward to having a non-travel weekend. I have mountains of laundry to do, the house need a good cleaning, I will have time on Sunday to actually prep for the week.
Time to get my work on so I can sail into the weekend without any obligations!
What are some of your favorites this week?
