Hello hello and happy first Friday of April. If April showers really do bring May flowers then I have a super floral May to look forward to. It’s been raining here all week and putting a DAMPer on my spirits.
SL and I are looking forward to a pretty low key weekend with the exception of a small concert tonight. The weather is looking less wet so I am hoping to get some outdoors time in at some point over the weekend.
Talking about the weekend is getting me too excited – let’s take a step back and talk about what made me happy this week.
Friday Favorites #83
Lately I have been replacing soy sauce and tamari with coconut aminos. Soy sauce has soy (obvi!) and gluten, tamari has soy and coconut aminos have neither soy nor gluten. I also think it tastes the same so it’s a win win.
Notice the bottle is empty. Bottle of coconut aminos never last long in my pantry. I buy mine at either Whole Foods (the brand in the picture) or via Thrive Market (<– referral link).
Behind Closed Doors
I started reading Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris this week and have not been able to put it down.
It’s creepy AF and I ended up having to put it down last night and turn on Gilmore Girls because the book has sufficiently freaked me out.
Alter Ego Deep Dark Sea Salt Organic Chocolate
Usually I am not a sweets person but this week has been different. I bought this chocolate on a whim while picking up lunch and its so so good. The sea salt in this bar is Fleur de Sel de Guerande which is said to be the world’s most coveted sea salt. Look who’s fancy now!
Aside from the great taste, this chocolate is awesome because it only has 4 ingredients – cacao beans, cane sugar, cocoa butter and sea salt. And the package is pink.
Chateau Souverain Cabernet Sauvignon
This wine is delicious. Enough said.
While reading last night I enjoyed a glass of this wine and wished I could have enjoyed two. The rest of this bottle won’t make it through the rest of the weekend 🙃 🍷
I hope you all have a great Friday and an even better weekend!
Scary books or beach reads?
I go back and forth with books. It just depends what the library has to offer.
What is your favorite wine?
A red blend or sauvignon blanc – it just depends on the season!
