How is it already mid August? And why did it take decades to finally make it to Friday? Despite having absolutely zero plans, I am looking forward to this weekend. SL has class and is going to some car show so I’ll be flying solo for the day (and night) on Saturday. I’m hoping for some beach time with SL on Sunday.
Despite the fact that this week dragged along, it was full of some real greatness. This week’s Friday Favorites are below. Enjoy!
Friday Favorites #90
Red Sox Game
SL and I spent Tuesday night at a Red Sox game. The weather was perfect. The game was intense and all of the ballpark food was delicious. We got home super late and I think I am still trying to catch up on sleep. When did I become such an old lady that I can’t stay out past midnight?!
Oh yeah, it happened years ago. I am an old lady. 👵
The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast
Lauryn and Michael have been cracking me up this week with their podcast. I started listening a couple weeks ago when they guest starred on the Lady Gang podcast. I was never into The Skinny Confidential because I thought it was another super curated, super
Turns out, I was wrong. Lauryn and Michael are real AF.
Applegate Naturals® Gluten-Free Chicken Nuggets
My top favorite foods, in order, are as follows: pizza, watermelon and chicken fingers/nuggets & french fries (<– tied for 3rd).
Chicken fingers/nuggets may be consider kid food but I love them and I always will. I feel slightly better about the fact that my new favorite nuggets (I crushed a whole box this week) are semi-healthy.
These nuggets are not only gluten-free but casein, dairy and sugar free as well. And the whole ingredient list is legible. Quadruple bonus.
The Kind Worth Killing
New book alert! I’m reading this via my library’s digital book offering and I am finding that I’m reading it a little slower than a normal book but not because this book isn’t amazing.
I’ve been reading on my lunch break and am quite honestly, I little horrified by the book and and dying (ha!) to know how it all plays out.
As I briefly mentioned yesterday, SL and I are heading to Portugal for a quick getaway in October and I am beyond excited. But neither SL nor I have studied Portuguese.
Duolingo is a completely free app that helps you learn a different language (they have over 20). I’m not going to fluent in Portuguese come October but I am learning plenty of words and phases to help me out in a bind.
That’s all I got for you. I hope you enjoy your weekend!
