It’s Friday, my friends! I’m coming at you from a (not so) fresh post-cycle class face wipe shower. TMI? I don’t care. I took class with a new-to-me instructor and I LOVED her and the class. Such a great way to start a Friday.
Anyways…who has plans for NYE? SL and I are having some friends over for a casual, food-filled night. We’ve done this for the past few years and I plan on making some finger foods and putting out all of the alcohol that we don’t want in hopes that someone drinks it.
Also, this weekend, I am going to a show in Boston, hitting up Orangetheory and going to a birthday brunch with friends at a new place that I have been dying to try. All and all, a great weekend.
Friday Favorites #95
Let’s start with a not favorite to make things fun.
The cold snap that has descended upon the northeast. Not a favorite. It is so goddamn cold and it hurts to be outside. According to the weather, the cold isn’t going away anytime soon. #notafavorite Ok, rant over. Let’s talk about things are way better.
Peppermint Mocha Coffee
Lindsay recently wrote a post about peppermint mochas and I was inspired. Mint flavored coffee isn’t for everyone (ahem – SL) but it is for me, especially this time of year.
My peppermint mochas are made with coffee, cashew milk, collagen, mint extract and cocoa powder. It takes an extra 12 seconds to make each morning but its so worth it!
West Elm Hamilton Sofa
Does anything make you feel more like an adult than buying furniture? SL and I have lived in our house for almost 3 years and in the past 3 months have finally purchased our own furniture.
We ended up choosing the West Elm Hamilton Sofa (81″) because we loved the shape, fabric options and most importantly, the depth. Our living room is long and skinny and we would like to eventually put stools in behind the sofa at the island so having something the right size was important.
And speaking of new furniture…
New Dining Room Chairs
We got these chairs for 40% from World Market around Black Friday and they came quickly and were super easy to put together.
The neutral color matches the rest of the house and now I want to find stools that match these chairs for our kitchen island.
Express Lace-Up Split-Back Sweater
This was another Black Friday buy which turned into me buying another one in a different color this week. This sweater is so cute and comfortable and has such a fun back.
Winter is here in full force so I will be living in sweaters for the next few months.
Thinking About New Years Resolutions
I love love love making New Year’s resolutions/goals. 2017 sucked a big one for me and I am more than happy that 2018 is right around the corner. I am working on a full 2018 goals post but SPOILER ALERT – they involve running goals, financial goals and some fun goals.
That’s all I have for today. I hope you all have a great weekend and a safe but fun NYE!
