2017 was a doozy. Not in a good way. I almost want to laugh at Hello 2017 Emily because she thought 2016 was rough. Well, jokes on you because nothing was worse than 2017.
My New Years weekend was full of fun but I took very few pictures. I’ll give you a brief overview with a sentence per picture style.
Saturday, I saw Shen Yun at the Wang in Boston with my sister, and it was amazing!
If this performance comes to a city near you, go see it.
We also got lunch and this salmon salad was amazing.
On New Year’s Eve day, we went to brunch to celebrate a friend’s birthday.
Chicken and waffles are everything.
Look at that handwriting! It’s perfect! The coffee was good too.
Happy New Year from House Lawson!
Because I feel like I have my shit together when I post about workouts and meal plans, I plan on continuing to do so in 2018. My meals and workouts at the tail end of 2017 were lackluster and its time to change that.
Weekly Workouts (last week)
The week between Christmas and New Years is weird AF. I was hardly motivated but still managed a few good workouts.
Tuesday: Circuit class at Studio 5
Friday: 30-minute cycle
Sunday: 45-minute cycle + Core, Buns & Guns
This Week’s Menu
I’m about to be super cliche and talk about cleaning up my diet in the New Year. It’s happening, you guys. I need a serious dose of veggies this week to get my body back to its happy place.
Monday (last night): Pizza – ok, so not off on the right foot but it felt right at the time. We had cucumber slices too.
Tuesday (tonight): Pork chops + roasted broccoli
Wednesday: Burger bowls (with sooooo many leafy greens)
Friday: Steaks + salads
Saturday – Sunday: I’ll figure it out then…
Happy 2018 everyone!
