Hello July! Where did you come from? I feel like just yesterday I was typing up my April Goals and now is July. I planned on getting my July goals up yesterday but obviously that didn’t happen. I’m not perfect but I am working on it.
Let’s see how I did on my April goals (Note: May and June goals just didn’t happen).
- Study for the CPT exam.
Done and done! I passed the NASM Certified Personal Trainer exam last weekend. Pats self on back. This test was tough and I am glad I put in the hours of studying. This has been a passion and goal of mine for a long time and crossing this off of the proverbial bucket list.
- Paint the upstairs.
Apparently after declaring this a goal on the internet it completely left my mind. I have barely even been upstairs never mind choosing paint colors and painting the rooms. SL and I will live in this house forever and ever so I am putting this one off until after the wedding. It is so ordered.
- Try 3 new workout classes.
Done and done! I broke down and finally bought a 10-pack at the studio near my above mentioned new house. This studio offers the regular gamut of fitness classes including the 3 new-to-me classes I took to achieve my goal. The first class I chose was a Pilates class taught by the studio owner. She was amazing and I’ve been to the class twice since.
Next, I took a bootcamp class, also with the studio owner. Talk about a sweat session! This was an outdoor hour-long class that whooped my butt. I’ve been back since and will continue to go. Lastly, I took a barre class (set up pictured above). Barre is always a toss up for me but I loved Kailey’s class and have since been two additional times.
I really nailed this goal. Moving on.
1. Make blog changes.
I have a few updates to the already updated website. Stay tuned.
2. Get workout schedule back on track.
My workouts have been all over the place lately. This year I haven’t been training for anything and I have found that I am not a disciplined with my workout schedule. With the wedding coming up I don’t really want to train for anything right now but I miss the structure.
3. Hire house cleaner.
Yes, this may seem frivolous but I hate cleaning the house. It takes a really long time and I just don’t have the drive to do it after working all day and I certainly don’t want to waste weekends doing it.
To everyone in the US – have a great long weekend and enjoy your 4th of July!
