A couple weeks ago I posted some goals for the month and wanted to check in on myself with this November goals update.
I love goal setting and I really love goal achieving. One year I even made a full powerpoint presentation for myself with goals and monthly action items to achieve those goals. Yikes. How do I have friends?
My goals for November were to read a book, workout 20 times, beat my Witch City 5k time and finish blogging about my honeymoon and Ireland trips.
Here is how it is all going.
November Goals Update
Read a book
Complete! I powered through Emily Giffin’s latest book, First Comes Love.
While I am not a super fast reader, I found myself choosing to read over watching TV most of the time while reading this book. I liked it so much it made my Friday Favorites post a couple weeks ago.
After taking a couple days off from reading, I started All the Missing Girls by Megan Miranda and am powering through that one as well. Crushing this goal!
Workout 20 times
I am happy to report that as of today, I am more than halfway there. 12 down, 8 to go.
I’ve done an OK job at mixing things up but would still like to vary my workouts more for the rest of the month.
Here is what the workout breakdown looks likes:
- 4 Core, Buns + Guns classes (my favorite!)
- 2 yoga classes
- 2 cycle classes
- 1 5k
- 1 Bootcamp class (kicked my ass)
- 1 pilates class
- 1 deep stretch/yoga workshop
I am signed up for another Core, Buns + Guns class tonight and plan on cycle and barre classes over the weekend.
Beat my Witch City 5k time
Complete! Yay! This one was huge for me. I have been a little down about my slow running lately and really needed a small win.
SL and I ran the Pete Frates 5k and I beat my Witch City 5k time by all of 5 seconds!
28:01 vs. 28:06. I’m not signed up for anymore races this month but might try to run one in early December.
Finish blogging about Ireland and my honeymoon
I have made progress on a few posts but haven’t hit publish on anything yet. Look forward to seeing posts about Singapore, Bangkok, Kilkenny and the Guinness Storehouse in the coming weeks.
Do you set goals? Are they yearly, quarterly monthly? Am I batshit crazy? Let me know!
