Hello and happy Tuesday. Yesterday was a bit of a blur because I took the red eye in from San Diego, went straight to the office, worked a full day then eventually made it home and cobbled together dinner before going to bed for the first time in over 24 hours.
Red eyes have been a necessary evil this year for me but it was well worth it. SL and I spent a long weekend (Thursday – Sunday) in San Diego! This was my first visit to this city and I will absolutely be back. I loved everything about this city and might move there for the food only.
San Diego: 4 Days, 6 Words
Pho at OB Noodle House. Everything.
I love pho and after reading about OB Noodle House on the Fitnessista’s blog, I knew I had to get myself there. Luckily it was only a short car ride / long walk from our hotel. I would have gone daily it if I could. It was that good!
Acai bowl. Tiki Port. Thanks Gina.
Another place the Fitnessista raves about on her blog. Luckily, Tiki Port is directly across the street from OB Noodle House so I killed two birds with one stone. SL and I ended up having to walk about 2.5 miles back to our hotel after the pho/acai bowl lunch which was perfect because I at my weight in deliciousness.
Perfect day for a waterfront wedding.
They had a picture perfect blue sky wedding day.
The real Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
How smokin’ hot is the bride?! Kristi is one of my favorite people and she and her groom Brendan (who is actually one of our groomsmen) are one of the funnest and funniest couples. I was bummed when they moved out to San Diego but they love it and it gives me and SL a reason to head out there again. And yes, those are their real bodies, not A and B.
Padres for the win at Petco.
The San Diego Padres topped the Colorado Rockies on Saturday night. This park was amazing and I hope to get back to Petco again.
Stopped by House of Blues SD.
Our friend’s cousin was playing at HOB and got us tickets. We only stayed for two sets but had a blast.
It never rains in San Diego.
Except when we are there. It rained two days in a row which is unheard of.
A little rain didn’t hold us back. We spent most of the day on Sunday playing in the pool and hot tub until it was time to head to the airport. The San Diego airport is a real treat compared to the craziness of Logan. We checked in, walked right through security, had dinner and boarded on time for our 9:50 flight home.
Jetsetting off to the west coast for the weekend was exactly what I needed to reboot and now I am ready to tackle this week!
