To celebrate the revival of the Gilmore Girls on Netflix I sat down and thought about the best Gilmore Girls episode, according to me. There are very few episodes that I don’t like but there are a handful that I will watch over and over again.
I chose to order the best Gilmore Girls episodes by season because I can’t possible rank them. It would be like picking a favorite child (I think – I’m not a mom).
The Bracebridge Dinner – Season 2, Episode 10
I love the Star’s Hollow townies. And Paris. And Richard and Emily Gilmore. This episode was one of my favorites because it had literally everyone in it.
It only could have been made better if they showed the scene of Jackson, drunk, playing music on his stomach.
A Deep-Fried Korean Thanksgiving – Season 3, Episode 9
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and the thought of having 4 in one day is kind of awesome.
Like The Bracebridge Dinner, this episode has lots of townie action.
The Lorelais’ First Day at Yale – Season 4, Episode 2
I remember my first day at college. Unlike Rory, I told my mom she had to leave as soon as the last box was unpacked. Sorry mom!
I loved the scene with all of the dorm girls eating an excessive amount of food and gaining the freshman 15 in one night. Get after it girls!
Girls in Bikinis, Boys Doin’ The Twist – Season 4, Episode 17
Ahh the spring break episode! Underage drinking, making out, drunk dialing…all things that every basic bitch college girl does on spring break.
Best part of the whole episode – Glen crawling out of the deep blue sea after going to get a hot dog days earlier.
Raincoats and Recipes – Season 4, Episode 22
Rory & Dean. Finally! Luke & Lorelai. Finally! This season finale was the best yet.
I know I am outnumbered here but I am #TeamDean all the way. Jess and Logan are both the worst. Dean is like a fluffy Golden Retriever that Rory can’t help but pet…
A Messenger, Nothing More – Season 5, Episode 2
There aren’t many things to laugh at when it come to adultery but Rory getting yelled at in the town square is one of them! This episode makes my list solely for that scene.
I might be the devil.
The Prodigal Daughter Returns – Season 6, Episode 9
The whole fight was stupid and it was about time for Lorelai and Rory to make up. I really hated the whole stealing a yacht and dropping out of Yale story line. I was glad to see it be over.
BONUS: To Whom It May Concern – Season 7, Episode 12
Overall, I thought the 7th season was lacking. When it originally aired, I didn’t watch much of it. However, this episode was my favorite from Season 7.
The scene in the toy store when Luke and Rory joke about Luke’s gift giving skills brought a little sentimental smile to my resting bitch face. The 7 Best Gilmore Girls Episodes (IMO) Click To Tweet
So there you have it. The best Gilmore Girls episodes in my completely biased, unhumble opinion.
P.S. If you are looking for me on Friday, I will be on my couch with coffee and Pop Tarts in hand and maybe a pizza…for good measure.
