Hello there and I couldn’t be happier that is is Thursday! Today is actually my Friday as I am off from work tomorrow. Yay! Now, let’s just get through this work day and look forward to the weekend.

Got blood work done and it’s great! Looks like doing a DietBet and not drinking for a month really did wonders for my blood. I have a physical coming up so I got my blood drawn last week and got my results this week. My cholesterol is way down (it was elevated last year) and my triglycerides are even further down.
Right now, my diet is focused on lean proteins and produce. I am mostly (as in I’m not perfect) steering clear of dairy and gluten and limiting my starchy carb intake to before 3:00 pm. I am also eating 3 meals a day and 2 snacks.
This way of eating works well FOR ME (and I can only speak for myself here) so well that I have lost over 8 pounds since January 1st!
SL and I have also been eating at home way more often. We fell into a cycle of going out and ordering in far too often because I wasn’t planning meals as thoroughly as I should have been at the tail ed of 2016.
Riding my healthy high, I didn’t feel so bad eating my sad desk salad for lunch at work this week. Go me!
I am loving Orangetheory classes. Ugh – why do they have to be so expensive?!
In the past week I’ve taken two classes with two instructors and while both were very different, I enjoyed both so much. If I come into some money, I will blow a good portion of it on Orangetheory.
Ski Trip 2017 commences tomorrow. SL and I along with 15 of our friends are heading to Maine tomorrow for a ski weekend.

The weather looks rotten but I’m sure we will still have fun. The house we rented looks amazing and has great reviews. Fingers crossed the weather changes!
Smoothie bowls > smoothies in a cup. Lately I’ve been dumping my blended smoothies into a bowl and chowing down with a spoon. Why? Because I can add way more toppings!
Down side: I have to clean two dishes instead of one. I use my Nutri Ninja to make single serving smoothies and normally would drink right from the container I blended it in. If this is my worst problem – I think I’ll survive.
