So it’s a hot minute since I was last here. Since then, I’ve been busy in a fun little place called Ireland. I plan to fully recap my trip (in multiple posts) next week but for now, I just need to babble. Thinking Out Loud is the perfect outlet for today.
1 | I have a lot of reading to do. This summer I got obsessed with my local library and put a bunch of titles I have been dying to read on hold. Apparently everyone else in town was dying to read them too but I had to wait months to get my hands on them. And of course, this week, all three books became available. Luckily it’s a long weekend and I have no plans!
I am also finishing up WomanCode. I made my way through about 100 pages on the plane on the way home and only have about 60 pages left. This will be a book I go back to again and again.
2 | Thank god this is a short work week. I am not jet-lagged (thank god again) but catching up at work has been wiping me out. I’ve been go go go from the moment I walk in to the moment I walk out. On Tuesday, I could barely keep my eyes open past 9:00pm.
Luckily, I have been very awake at work so my productivity has been through the roof! (Pats self on back)
3 | This weekend = fall cleaning. SL hates to through things out and I love it. I plan to go through our pantry and junk draw and maybe my closet while he is out of the house this weekend. Nothing feels better than tossing a bunch of stuff that doesn’t serve us.
4 | I’ve been drinking a lot of tea lately. Like a lot. I guess now that the weather is changing I am craving a warm beverage other than coffee (who am I?) Mostly I’ve been downing lemon and peppermint tea but I’ve also been loving the occasional fruit tea.
5 | October is my favorite month. Yay October! Not only do I love the fall, I love October because it’s my anniversary month and birthday month. I can’t believe SL and I have already been married for a year. I also can’t believe that I will be turning 32 just two weeks from today.
Other than SL having class, we don’t have any commitments this month and nothing could make me happier.
6 | Scheduling my life differently. I am usually a very structured person that loves checking things off lists and scheduling my week to a T. Over the summer, this all went a rye and didn’t fall back into place in September either. Now that its October, I want to get a together a little but not be as rigid as I usually am.
I listened to episode #170 of The Lively Show (one of my favorite podcasts) this week and realized that there are going to be times when ALL.THE.THINGS. don’t get done in the exact way I think they should, but they still get done.
Thats all I have for today. Thanks Amanda for hosting Thinking Out Loud!
