Hello! Is it Friday yet? Kidding, kinda of. I don’t necessarily want to wish the week away but it’s always hard to go from weekend mode back into working mode.
Speaking of the weekend, how was yours? Mine was filled with plenty of fun stuff but writing day-by-day may get boring so I am just going to share a few highlights.
Friday night dinner at Blue Fin
A whole bunch of us celebrated a friend’s birthday with dinner at a Japanese restaurant. For some odd reason, I wasn’t feeling sushi so I got a mixed plate to share with SL.
This is the beef combo that came with mixed tempura, seaweed salad, 3-piece California roll, shumai, rice and unpictured miso soup. SO MUCH FOOD! Yeah, we ate it all!
Saturday morning Orangetheory
Woof, this workout.
OTF usually flies by for me but Saturday’s workout was not awesome. It seemed to never ever end. It was half normal and half a 2/3G. I’m not a fan of partner workouts because I like to workout at my own pace and not talk to anyone.
Oh well, at least I got a good workout in.
Sunday afternoon bowling
I’ve been itching to go bowling for weeks and finally SL and I went. We found a new-to-us place in Amesbury and it was perfect. We even had to keep score the old school way with paper and pencil.
We played three strings and had a blast but we both really sucked.
But I ended up beating SL!! Yay for me!
Sunday night mezze platter
After bowling, we got drinks and apps at Ale House in Amesbury we neither of us were too hungry come dinner time.
I threw together a little bit of everything and called it a mezze platter and felt fancy AF.
That rounds out the highlights from this weekend. Food and working out – that’s pretty much my whole life.
Because I feel like I have my shit together when I post about workouts and meal plans, here are my workouts and meal plans.
Weekly Workouts (last week)
Last week’s workouts were pretty typical. Nothing new but still lots of good stuff.
Monday: Yoga/Pilates class
Tuesday: Orangetheory
Wednesday: Rest
Thursday: Rest
Friday: 30-minute cycle
Saturday: Orangetheory (see above)
Sunday: Active rest – 1.3 miles of treadmill walking and bowling which oddly burned a good amount of calories!
This Week’s Menu
Thrive Market (<– get 25% off your first order!) is now offering meat and seafood. WHAT?!?! So, obviously, I ordered some seafood to try it out.
