Hello from late Monday morning. I slept in this morning (yay for working from home!) and now I am sipping on an espresso in my cold house. We left our windows open yesterday and the temperature dropped last night so its 60˚ inside the house. The espresso is needed!
I’m actually really ready to tackle this work week because I had the best weekend. For the first time since probably the spring, SL and I had NOTHING on the docket. And I took zero pictures.
On Friday we had an amazing dinner with friends then on Saturday morning we slept in then got bagels which we ate by the water. I ordered a turkey, avocado and bacon bagel sandwich with spinach, tomato and red onion. It was everything and I can’t believe I didn’t take a picture. The rest of Saturday was chores and then Jack Ryan.
Sunday started with a workout then there was a whole lot of reading. Say You’re Sorry is really good and I can barely put it down when I start reading.
OMG OMG I just googled the author to link the book and found out this is just the first book in a series about the character!!! LIFE MADE!!!
Ok, back to Sunday – after reading, there was a little local hike and finally, the day ended with another Patriots loss – ugh. Despite the loss, it was exactly the low key weekend I needed.
Because I feel like I have my shit together when I post about workouts and meal plans, here are my workouts and meal plans.
Weekly Workouts (last week)
I felt pretty good about my workouts last week. There wasn’t much variety but I like what I like, ok?
Monday: Core, Buns + Guns
Thursday: Orangetheory – Ugh. I tried a new coach and was NOT a fan.
Friday: Orangetheory – Went to a tried and true coach and fell back in love with OTF.
Saturday: Nothing – I slept in and hung out with my husband instead of working out. It was amazing.
Sunday: 30-minute cycle class & Core, Buns + Gun – Yeah, I did a double for the first time in ages and woof was I sweaty.
This Week’s Menu
Our freezer supplies are LOW so I will be digging through the pantry this week to cobble together dinners. We are getting a Butcher Box delivery and a Blue Apron delivery next week so there was no way I was going to buy much from the grocery store this week.
Monday (tonight!): Homemade fried rice (with egg and chicken sausage) + Trader Joe’s veggie gyoza
Tuesday: Mediterranean sardine pasta (I’ll probably change a few things about this recipe but I’ll use it as a jump-off point)
Wednesday: I want to attempt some sort of dairy-free and gluten-free tuna casserole but I haven’t found the right recipe yet. Fingers crossed on this one!
Thursday: SL has volleyball so I’m on my own. It will either be leftovers or something simple.
Friday – Saturday: I’ll figure it out then…
Sunday: Homemade sauce + pasta
