Hello everyone! How was your weekend? Mine went by way too fast as usual
Friday night SL and I headed up to Hampton Beach to see Michael Kiwanuka and Gary Clark, Jr. Haven’t heard of them? Neither had I until Friday night. Turns out, Michael Kiwanuka sings the Big Little Lies theme song – Cold Little Heart. So cool! Kiwanuka performed for 30 minutes or so then Gary Clark Jr. came on and performed for over 2 hours straight.
He seriously powered through so many songs and never missed a beat.
I was hoping to start Saturday off with a cycle class but I never made it off the waitlist. Lame. Because I was already up and dressed, I went to the grocery store first thing, before SL got out of bed. With that chore out of the way, I was ready to jump start Saturday.
For breakfast I had kale and corned beef hash from a can.
Balance right? I wasn’t in the mood for eggs (who am I?) and SL was have corned beef so I just went with it.
The rest of Saturday involved more errands and lots of food prep.
I made Thai meatballs, magic green sauce, farro and more. Dinner this week will come together quickly!
Sunday run-day! Run club met bright and early on Sunday for our training run. The weather was perfect for running, cool with a breeze.
This week’s run felt much better than last week and it was a bit speedier.

I felt really good about this run and to “celebrate” I spent the rest of the day Sunday legit chilling. I watched a bunch of episodes of Scandal (which I am loving) and did some mild clean up around the house.
Sunday ended with the Game of Throne finale which I thought ended perfectly to set us up for the last season.

So last week was a weird week where working out just didn’t happen for half of the days.
Friday: 30-minute cycle with my new cycle shoes!!
Saturday: At home treadmill workout
This was actually Orangethoery’s Saturday treadmill block.
Sunday: Run club – 5.5 7 miles

I am still focusing on blood building foods and eating as much of the garden vegetables as I can.
Monday (tonight!): Fish, farro + roasted garden vegetables
Tuesday: Thai Meatballs via Lexi’s Clean Kitchen with Swiss chard + beet salad
Wednesday: Garlic Lime Shrimp via PaleOMG with asparagus
Thursday: Baked chicken thighs with farro + roasted garden veggies
Friday: Wing it!
Saturday: Wing it!
Sunday: BBQ/Lobster Bake at the house!
