Good morning and happy Wednesday! We made it halfway through the first week of the year! On of my January 2017 goals is to get back to back to writing more about fitness and food, my two favorite things!
This post is a classic WIAW and my weekly workouts.
What I Ate
Here are all of my eats from yesterday. I felt good about everything, kept things clean and wasn’t starving at any point. Warning: My meals were ugly as sin and didn’t photograph well AT ALL. So I only added a few pictures. You’re welcome.
Egg white scramble with mushrooms and spinach/kale mix, Ezekiel toast with 1/4 avocado, apple cider vinegar drink, coffee with collagen.
Tone It Up Blondie Muffin from their latest workout plan. These are seriously so good and I will probably make them often.
Left over farro bowl with salmon, pesto, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts and chickpeas.
I had a Blueberry, Vanilla & Cashew Kind Bar on hand but wasn’t hugry so I passed on it.
Chili Maple Baked Chicken with baked Brussels Sprouts, farro with pesto all served over a bed of spinach and arugula.
I was so hungry after my PM workout that I seriously wolfed this whole thing down in no time.
Let’s start with last week. To be honest, last week’s workouts were few and far between. I took a Barre class on Tuesday night which was killer and a cycle class on Wednesday morning. Then I didn’t do anything until our New Year’s Day walk/hike in the sand dunes.
This week has been much better, so far.
Monday: 30 minute lunch walk, 10 minute kettlebell circuit, 1/2 mile run on the treadmill. I wanted to do more on Monday night but I was SO SO SO starving and didn’t want to risk passing out and dying in my basement.
Tuesday: Early morning yoga at 5:30 am. To be honest, when my alarm went off, I was NOT feeling it and almost bailed but I didn’t want to get a late cancel charge so I went and was so happy I did.
My PM workout was 2 miles on the treadmill while watching YouTube videos. I could have done more but dinner was ready and I was hungry!
Wednesday (today): Super sweaty, early morning cycle class. According to my new Apple Watch (!!!) I burned 346 calories in class. Boom!
For the rest of the week I have a Core, Buns + Guns class, another cycle class and a yoga workshop planned. I would also like to tackle the treadmill a couple more times.
And there is that. Food ✅ Fitness ✅ Boom 👊. Happy Hump Day!
